19, 20 AND 21 APRIL – IN PARMA THE
CONGRESS “MENTAL HEALTH AND LIFE
PROJECT”

On the next 19, 20 e 21 April at Parma Chamber of Commerce an event will be held
that we believe to be a crossroad of reflections and planning for those who deal with
the wellbeing of people with disability.
SIDIN (“Società Italiana per i Disturbi del Neurosviluppo-Disturbi dello Sviluppo
Intellettivo e dello Spettro Autistico” Italian Society for Neurodevelopmental
Disorders – Intellectual Development and Autism Spectrum Disorders) in
collaboration with Parma Anffas dedicates the 2017 Biennial Congress to Mental
Health and Life Project.
The congress event is a first step towards a convergence of reflections, visions and
commitments to build a shared consensus of scientific knowledge and clinical
experiences directly contributing to the process of drafting National Guidelines,
which will be published in 2018. On 19 April there is also in program the Film ‘Ho
amici in paradiso’ by director Fabrizio Maria Cortese, who wanted to have, in
addition to professional actors, also a group of guests from the centre Opera Don
Guanella, in which the film is in part set. The initiative is particularly aimed at
involving students from local schools.
On 20 April the results of research on Quality of Life of people with Disabilities,
conducted in our territory, will be returned, and on 21 April the experiment which
Anffas started in collaboration with the Local Health Authority and Parma
Municipality on Life Project will be presented.
